Zero Hunger

Lebanese French University (LFU) supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger, which aims to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. LFU is committed to raising awareness about food sustainability, reducing food waste, and encouraging responsible consumption. Through partnerships, student initiatives, and community outreach, the university works to ensure that everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and affordable food.

Objective

To contribute to global efforts in ending hunger and promoting sustainable food systems by:

  • Supporting local farmers and sustainable food sourcing.
  • Providing healthy and affordable food choices on campus.
  • Conducting awareness campaigns on food waste and nutrition.
  • Encouraging research and innovation in sustainable agriculture.
  • Engaging students and staff in initiatives that promote food security.
