Requirements & Procedures for Applying to an Academic Teaching Position

The following outlines the qualifications, documents, and legal conditions applicants must fulfill to be considered for employment as a lecturer at the university level. These requirements ensure academic standards, professional competence, and compliance with higher education regulations.

Required Documents

Certified colored copy of the PhD certificate
Certified colored copy of the Master’s degree certificate
Certified colored copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate
Certificate in teaching methods (Pedagogy)
Certificate equivalency (if degree was obtained outside the country)
Official order granting the academic title
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Written declaration: not employed in any government institution in Kurdistan Region or Iraq
Official long-term leave order (if currently employed in a government institution)
Retirement ID (for retirees)
Colored copy of passport
Personal ID documents (National ID or Civil Status ID, Iraqi nationality certificate & residence card)
Marriage contract and IDs of children under 18
Two personal photos
Clearance letter (for external/part-time lecturers from government institutions or universities)
