The College of Health Sciences at the Lebanese French University organized an educational workshop titled “Plant Protection and Garden Care” on October 6, 2024. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about sustainable gardening practices, plant health management, and the importance of maintaining a clean and eco-friendly green environment on campus.
The session was presented by Agricultural Engineer Peshang S. Hussen and Assistant Lecturer Banaz S. Haji from the Department of Medical Radiology Imaging at LFU. The presenters discussed essential techniques for plant care, methods of protecting plants from common pests and diseases, and the role of soil and water quality in healthy plant growth.
During the workshop, practical demonstrations were provided to help participants better understand garden maintenance techniques and sustainable plant protection methods. The university gardener and teaching staff members also attended the session, engaging actively in discussions and sharing their on-site experiences.
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants expressed their appreciation for the informative and hands-on approach. The College of Health Sciences continues to organize such educational activities to promote environmental awareness and support sustainability efforts within the university community.
