A workshop on ‘Digital Legacy’ was held at the Lebanese French University.
The Department of General Education at the College of Education and Languages at the Lebanese French University organized a special workshop on “Digital Legacy and its Legal and Islamic law Issues”, presented by Dr. Karzan Faqi Khalil Karim, the head of the Department of General Education.
Wednesday October 8,2025 the department of Education at the college of Education and Language held a workshop titled “Digital Legacy” the workshop started with an introduction to the era of digital transformation,How there is a new type of asset and wealth that consists of digital currencies such as Bitcoin, digital wallets like PayPal, email and social media accounts, YouTube channels that generate income, photos and files stored in the cloud, gaming accounts and applications, and domain names.
The workshop discussed this Main question: Do these possessions become assetss/Legacy after the owner’s death? and the gaps that the Iraqi law & Islamic Law need to fill in future.
