the workshop looked into Omics,
Since the sequencing and mapping of the human genome, numerous molecular measurements within a cell or tissue have been made possible by advances in technology. Thus, with these methods, the basic principles of a biological system can be investigated at a resolution that was previously impossible. The scientific disciplines concerned with the high-throughput analysis of biological molecules are known as “omics.”
Omics includes a wide range of scientific disciplines, such as proteomics, transcriptomics, genomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and epigenomics, which describe broad evaluations of proteins, RNA, genes, metabolites, lipids, and methylated DNA or modified histone proteins in chromosomes.
