National Workshop “CIVIC CENTERED HEURISTIC EARLY WARNING SYSTEM FASHIONED USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND INTERNET OF THINGS”

On Monday, September 26, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to3:00 p.m., the Department of Information Technology, College of Engineering and Computer Science organized a National Workshop for faculty members titled “CIVIC CENTERED HEURISTIC EARLY WARNING SYSTEM FASHIONED USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND INTERNET OF THINGS” The session was presented by Asst.Prof. Ashish sharma . There were 16 participants in attendance at this workshop most of them from the college of engineering and Computer Science.

The workshop Description:

This workshop describes the Early Warning System (EWS) model without human intervention and a hybrid model comprised of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to save worldly things from natural disasters. It uncovers the distinct climatic conditions and separates the cloudy, foggy, rainy, shine, and sunrise patterns and helps alert citizens before a natural disaster happens through IoT or mobile devices geographically. The EWS is an AI-based design for securing and saving human/environmental lives. The EWS facilitates information to the stakeholders like agriculturists, farmers, scientists, meteorologists, disaster management teams, climatic change activists and researchers.

Workshop Outcomes:

It is an effective sharing of knowledge, practices and technologies in support of implementing the EWS. In the future, this strategy will be more practical to put up a temporary mobile network infrastructure in unstable natural areas by leveraging robot technology to inform people during disasters. It helps more with early alerts and saves a life on the planet.
