From Sunday, June 26, 2022, till Tuesday, June 28, 2022, the Department of Kurdish Language in College of Education and Languages conducted a community activity under the title “strengthening lessons in the Kurdish language”. The Lectures were presented by Khabat Hadi Jamil, faculty member in department of Kurdish Language, College of Education and Languages at Lebanese French University. The Lectures were presented to the students enrolled in the (Erbil Youth Center), especially for middle and high school students, and this community service targeted a group of students who suffer from the Kurdish language. In the end, Erbil Youth Center appraised the community activity and thanked the lecturers.
Community Service Outcomes:
The following recommendations were made for students who suffer from weakness in the Kurdish language subject:
- Strengthening the social and service relations between the Kurdish language department through making their own group to communicate with the Kurdish language teacher in order to overcome the difficulties they face in studying the Kurdish language.
- Introduce students to the correct reading method and understand the Kurdish language lesson easily.
- It was agreed with the Erbil Youth Center on more courses and reinforcement lessons at the beginning of the next academic year.
