On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the Department of Sociology held the national workshop entitled ” The phases of Pre-modern, Modern and Post-modern” The workshop’s first session was presented by Lecturer. Suren Akram, at the beginning of the workshop, he talked about the importance of the topic and the importance of the terminology of Modernism. In the second session Dr. Faez Ibrahim lecturer at Law and International relations College at Lebanese French University, Dr focused on the pre-modern, Modern and Post-modern, and then he discussed the various definitions and characteristics of pre-modern, modernity, and post-modernity. The main core of the workshop was concerning the different stages of modernity and their impacts on societies. The workshop was attended by: the dean of the mentioned College, the head of the Tourism Department, the head of the Kurdish Language Department, and several different teachers from the university together with 4th-year students of the Sociology Department
