The Department of Legal Administration Conducted a National Level Workshop

The Department of Legal Administration had Conducted the National Level Workshop entitled “Transnational Organized Crime and Commission Rogatory in It” on 20th of Feb 2022. The Master of Ceremony for the workshop was done by Mr. Hawar Mohamed, Lecturer in the Legal Administration department, College of Administration and Economics, Lebanese French University. The first speaker was Mr. Mokhlis Ahmed, Lecturer in the Legal Administration department, College of Administration and Economics, Lebanese French University, He presented his ideas on the principles of Transportation and what are the factors that lead to Crime and Commission Rogatory in Transportation. The second speaker was Mrs. Khalida Thanoon, Lecturer in Polytechnic University- Shaqlawa Institute. She focused on the most common crime in Transportation in Kurdistan and Iraq’s border. 26 Lecturers attended in the workshop actively.

Workshop Outcome

  1. Transnational organized crime (TOC) groups are self-perpetuating associations of individuals who operate, wholly or in part, by illegal means and irrespective of geography, they constantly seek to obtain power, influence, and monetary gains. Applying teamwork problem-solving activity tools in the class.
  2. Most crimes should not be excluded from international prosecutions to reduce the proportion of organized cross-border crime
  3. International prosecutions are the best way to reduce transnational organized crime and teach criminals that they have no escape from justice regardless of the sophistication of their criminal method.

Presenter/s Information

  1. Mrs. Khalida Thanoon, holds Ph.D. in public international law at Mosul university, a Lecturer at Polytechnic University- Shaqlawa Institute.
  2. Mr. Mukhlis Ahmed holds a master’s degree in Administrative Law from University Soran, Iraq. Currently, he is the director of the directory of general contracting at the ministry of the municipality of KRG and a Lecturer at the College of Administration and Economics at Lebanese French University.
  3. Mr. Hawar Mohamed holds a master’s degree in Law, a Lecturer in the Legal Administration department, College of Administration and Economics, Lebanese French University.
