The Department of Legal Administration at the College of Administration and Economics recently concluded a specialized training course titled “Managing and Organizing Profit Organizations: Lessons from Football Leagues,” held from Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to April 15, 2025. The course consisted of six sessions, offering participants a deep dive into organizational and economic strategies inspired by professional football leagues.
Lecturer Hoshyar Darbandi led five of the sessions with great expertise, sharing critical insights on how football league structures can inform and improve profit-driven organizational models. Assistant Professor Dr. Akram Amin from Salahaddin University joined as a guest speaker for the fifth session, providing an academic perspective and enriching the dialogue with real-world applications and comparative analysis.
The course sessions were scheduled as follows:

Held in a collaborative academic setting, the course drew faculty members and professionals from various disciplines who were interested in exploring the intersection of sports management and organizational success. Each session focused on drawing parallels between football league operations and effective management strategies in profit organizations, emphasizing the importance of leadership, strategic planning, community involvement, and human capital development.
