Scientific Field Trip for Second-Year Students of the Department of Accounting and Finance to the Board of Supreme Audit in the Kurdistan Region

As part of the College of Administration and Economics’ efforts to enhance practical learning and link academic outcomes with real-world applications, the Department of Accounting and Finance organized a scientific field trip for second-year students to the Board of Supreme Audit in the Kurdistan Region on

10-02-2026 under the supervision of Ms. Ronyaz Hayyas.

 aiming to provide students with insights into the nature of the Board’s work and its vital role in financial and administrative oversight.

The visit included an academic seminar held at the Board, during which Mr. Mohsen, Director of Studies and Research, delivered an introductory lecture presenting a comprehensive overview of the Board of Supreme Audit. He highlighted its historical development, stages of growth, and its role in promoting transparency and ensuring the integrity of financial procedures.

In addition, Mr. Alwazir provided a detailed presentation on the core functions of the Board, explaining its auditing mechanisms, monitoring procedures, and its role in safeguarding public funds and ensuring compliance with applicable financial laws and regulations.

This field trip comes in line with the College’s commitment to providing practical learning opportunities that contribute to developing students’ skills and broadening their academic perspectives, thereby enhancing their readiness for the labor market.

At the conclusion of the visit, students expressed their appreciation for this valuable academic experience, emphasizing the importance of such activities in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and in supporting their academic and professional development.of students in serving the community and reflects the College of Administration and Economics’ commitment to promoting a culture of giving and volunteerism, contributing to the development of a generation that is socially aware and highly responsible toward its community.
