The Lebanese French University, in collaboration with the TASK Center, held a symposium on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, titled “The Repercussions and Consequences of the Israel-Hamas War on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.”
The symposium began with speeches by Dr. Amin Salih Kakshk, President of the Lebanese French University, and Dr. Othman Ali, head of the TASK organization.
The symposium consisted of two main panels. In the first panel, Dr. Jafar Ibrahim Eminki, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Saadi Ahmed Pire, a member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and Dr. Salahaddin Babakir, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, presented their views and perspectives, focusing on “The Role of Parties and Political Factions in Confronting Threats.”
The second panel featured Dr. Nawzad Hitoti, a professor at Salahaddin University, and Dr. Saman Shali, a political analyst, who discussed “How to Turn Threats into Opportunities.”
Finally, the attendees enriched the discussions with their suggestions, comments, and observations.
