The college of Health Science/ Medical laboratory science department is to hold national workshop titled Role of microbiologist for drug abuse.
Objective of the workshop:
- What is antimicrobial drugs.
- What is an antibiotic sensitivity test and why it performed at microbiological laboratory’s?
- When we have to take antibiotics and how can prescribe it to patients.
- Are Sensitivity results in our country accurate or not?
- How do we identify the wrong antimicrobial result?
- Some examples of improper sensitivity results
- Guideline example for a few specimen types
- How we improve antimicrobial reporting according to the CLSI guideline which is decrease abusing drug
- What is latest update CLSI guideline
