Workshop Description:

“The Great Gatsby,” a classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, serves as a powerful exploration of the American Dream’s shortcomings. Set in the roaring 1920s, the story follows Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire, as he pursues wealth and love in the quest for the American Dream. However, beneath the glitz and glamour, the novel reveals a darker truth -the hollowness and moral decay that can accompany the relentless pursuit of success. Through its characters and narrative, “The Great Gatsby” provides a critical lens on the failure of the American Dream during a time of societal excess and illusion, showcasing the emptiness that can lurk behind the promise of prosperity and happiness.
