On Tuesday, 17/2/2026, the Accounting Department in the College of Administration and Economics organized a workshop titled “Developing Your Professional Accounting Career Path” for faculty members and third- and fourth-year students.
The workshop was hosted by Zana Abdulrahman, a lecturer at Salahaddin University-Erbil.
At the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Znar Nahro Ahmed, a lecturer in the Accounting Department, delivered a brief talk on the importance of accounting in today’s labor market and within organizations, highlighting the objectives that accounting students are expected to achieve after graduation.
After that, Mr. Zana discussed the steps accounting graduates should take after completing their studies, how they can prepare themselves professionally, and the types of positions they can start working in. In another part of the workshop, he addressed the professional and academic certifications that accountants need to rely on and obtain at different stages of their professional careers.
