Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop at LFU University

The College of Health Sciences at the Lebanese French University organized an educational workshop titled “Breast Cancer Awareness” on October 27, 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge about breast cancer, its risk factors, early detection methods, and the importance of regular screening for improving patient outcomes.

The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali A. Mohammedsaeed from the Lebanese French University, along with Dr. Niyan Jihad Arshad from Nanakali Hospital in Erbil. Both presenters highlighted the significance of early diagnosis as a key factor in reducing mortality rates. They discussed self-examination techniques, common clinical symptoms, and the role of imaging and laboratory investigations in accurate diagnosis.

During the workshop, real clinical examples were shared to increase participants’ understanding of patient care pathways and challenges in cancer management. The presenters also emphasized the psychological and social support that breast cancer patients need during treatment.

The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants expressed strong engagement and interest in the topic. The College of Health Sciences continues to organize such academic and community-focused activities to promote health awareness among students and the wider community.
