Biography

Dr. Abdullah Husen Reswl is a Professor of Linguistics at the College of Education and Languages, LFU. He holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics (1995), a Master’s (1991), and a Bachelor’s (1982) in Linguistics from Salahaddin University and the University of Baghdad, Iraq. With over 30 years of academic experience, Dr. Reswl has specialized in syntax, morphology, and discourse analysis.
He is the author of several significant academic works, including Comparative Grammar, Vocabulary, and Discourse Analysis, with additional works like Cozmanawani and Functional Linguistics currently in press. His research interests focus on linguistic structures, language theory, and their practical applications in both Kurdish and broader linguistic contexts.
Dr. Reswl is dedicated to advancing linguistic scholarship in the region, mentoring graduate students, and fostering critical thinking in his students. He is actively involved in the academic community through platforms such as Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
Throughout his career, Dr. Reswl has consistently contributed to the development of linguistics education and research, positioning himself as a respected figure in the field, both in Iraq and internationally. His work continues to shape the study of linguistics at LFU and beyond.
