As part of the Lebanese-French University series activities, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 12:00, the Department of Information Technology of the College of Engineering and Computer Science hosted a cultural activity involving a documentary titled “How Quantum Computers Break The Internet” was for university staff and students.
The film presented an introduction to quantum computers, how they work and how they differ from classical computers and their future real-world applications. The film then presented how quantum computers are actually breaking the algorithms and protocols used today to encrypt communications over the Internet.
