The Department of Health Administration in the College of Administration and Economics conducted an International Workshop

On Sunday, on 8th Dec 2021, the Department of Health Administration in the College of Administration and Economics held the national workshop entitled “The Bank System in the Digital Era & Role of the Digitalization Banking System.” The workshop’s first session was presented by Dr. Saman Shali, a former lecturer at National University, California, U.S.A. Dr. Shali, at the beginning of the workshop, addressed problems related to the Banking System in Iraq and Kurdistan Region; then, he explained the ways to overcome these problems and benefits of the banking system for employees in the public sector. In the second session, Dr. Sara Ahmed, from Barcelona University, Spain the second guest speaker, provided vigorous information on the effects the digitization on the future of banking. Dr. Ahmed stressed Dynamic of the innovation process has become a key feature of the banking sector that ensures the competitiveness of market participants.

Workshop Outcome

The following recommendation was given to solve the banking sector problem:

  1. Creating a central database for Government banking to automate the banking system.
  2. Easy excess to all the Government employees to their salaries from any Government banks by issuing digitizes banking cards.
  3. Provide access to the banking account through social media.
  4. Automation should be an important element of a digital marketing strategy for banks, simply because it cuts costs, can improve the quality of output, and greatly reduces the number of bank marketing experts needed to complete tasks.
