The faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology s organized a national workshop entitled: ” Software Testing & Evaluation ” for faculty members on 22 Feb., 2024. The session lasted from 1 to 3 pm. The session was presented by: ( Asst. Lect. Maryam Sarmad ) from Lebanese French University, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology.
Workshop Outcomes:
- Software testing is not about finding programming errors.
- Software testing is about proving that the system has problems.
- Successful testing means that we were successful in finding system problems & unsuccessful testing means the opposite (which is an ideal case that is impossible).
- Testing any system for all the possible problems is almost impossible (Budget and time)
- There are two main testing strategies (Black box & White box).
