As part of the series activities of Lebanese French University, College of Education and Languages, Department of English Language arranged a cultural activity entitled “Translation as a bridge between English language and Kurdish language” for college students. The activity was held on December 12, 2023 where third year students in Department of English Language read some excerpts of their translation. The students successfully translated different short stories from English language to Kurdish language. Their translation is a bridge between the two languages for those readers who wish to get to know the English stories, culture, and literature but do not speak the language.
The event took place in the University’s Conference Hall for 1 hour, and faculty members and students attended. At the end of the event, appreciation certificates were given to Asst. Lect. Nian Saeed Abdullah, the organizer of the event, and the students who participated in the event and read their translated work.

وەک بەشێک لە کارو چالاکییەکانی زانکۆی لوبنانی فەرەنسی، بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی لە کۆلێژی پەروەردە و زمان هەڵسا بە سازکردنی چالاکییەکی کلتوری لەژێر ناونیشانی (وەرگێڕان وەک پردێک لە نێوان زمانی ئینگلیزی و زمانی کوردیدا) بۆ قوتابیانی کۆلێژ و بە ئامادەبوونی مامۆستایان. چالاکییەکە لە ڕێکەوتی ١٢\١٢\٢٠٢٣ ئەنجامدرا کە تێیدا قوتابیانی قۆناغی سێی بەشی زمانیی ئینگلیزی چەند نموونەیەکیان لەو تێکستانە خوێندەوە کە لە زمانی ئینگلیزییەوە وەریانگێڕابوو بۆ سەر زمانی کوردی. قوتابیان بەشێوەیەکی سەرکەوتووانە چەندین کورتەچیرۆکیان وەرگێڕابوو. ئەم کارەی قوتابیان پردێک بوو بۆ ئەو خوێنەرانەی کە حەز دەکەن شارەزای چیرۆک، کلتور و ئەدەبی ئینگلیزی ببن بەڵام زمانی ئینگلیزی نازانن
