Department of General Education Conducted a National Workshop Entitled “The Role of Teachers in Developing the Students’ Skills”

On Thursday, December 07, 2023, College of Education and Languages, Department of General Education held a national workshop entitled “The Role of Teachers in Developing the Students’ Skills“. The workshop was about examining the practical and theoretical roles of teachers. By context, it’s meant not only the traditional interpretation of teaching but also the environment that the teacher can bring about in the class. At the beginning of the workshop, Asst. Lect. Ahmed Azeez introduced some general points about the teaching process in the college and then introduced the other two speakers. Then Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani explained some details about the practical aspect of the topic considering feeling being responsible and the development of the four skills. Finally Prof. Dr. Jamal Asaad talked about the theoretical aspect of the topic highlighting emotional intelligence. In the workshop 18 staff members have participated.

Workshop Outcomes:

1. To enhance learning in the college.
2. To know the creative ways in developing skills and the crucial role of the teacher.

Presenter/s Information:

1. Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani holds PhD in discourse analysis. Currently, he is a teacher in the college of Education and languages, department of General Education at Lebanese French University.
2. Prof. Dr. Jamal Asad holds PhD in Educational planning. Currently, he is a teacher in the college of Education and languages, department of General Education at Lebanese French University.
3. Asst. Lect. Ahmed Azeez holds MA. And a PhD student in English Language Teaching. Currently, he is a teacher in the college of Education and languages, Department of General Education at Lebanese French University.

بەشی پەروەردەی گشتی وۆرکشۆپێکی ناوەخۆیی ئەنجامدا

ڕۆژی پێنجشەممە ٧/١٢/٢٠٢٣، کۆلێژی پەروەردە و زمان، بەشی پەروەردەی گشتی وۆرکشۆپی ناوەخۆیی ئەنجامدا بەناونیشانی “ڕۆڵی مامۆستایان لە پەرەپێدانی تواناکانی قوتابیان” . وۆرکشۆپەکە تایبەت بوو بە توێژینەوەی ڕۆڵی پراکتیکی و تیۆری مامۆستایان. مەبەست لە ڕۆڵی مامۆستا تەنها لێکدانەوەی گشتی وانەوتنەوە نەبوو بەڵکو تایبەت بوو بە ئەو ژینگەیەی کە مامۆستا دەتوانێت لە پۆلدا بیهێنێتە ئاراوە. لە سەرەتای وۆرکشۆپەکەدا م.ی.ئەحمەد عەزیز چەند خاڵێکی گشتی سەبارەت بە پرۆسەی وانەوتنەوە لە کۆلێژدا ناساند و دواتر دوو وتاربێژەکەی تری ناساند. پاشان پ.د. کاوە شێروانی چەند وردەکارییەکی سەبارەت بە لایەنی پراکتیکی بابەتەکە ڕوونکردەوە بە لەبەرچاوگرتنی هەستکردن بە بەرپرسیارێتی و پەرەپێدانی چوار کارامەیییەکە. لە کۆتاییدا پ.د. جمال ئەسعەد باسی لە لایەنی تیۆری بابەتەکە کرد کە تیشکی خستە سەر زیرەکی سۆزداری.
