Law Department held a symposium entitled (rape crimes in Iraqi Law and the Role of forensic examination in proving them)
On Monday, December 4, 2023, in the presence of the Vice president for Scientific Affairs, Deans of colleges, Heads of Departments, staff, and students of scientific departments of Lebanese French University, College of Law and International Relations, the Department of Law organized a symposium. The topic of this symposium was dedicated to highlighting the crimes of sexual assault and the reasons for committing them within the framework of the Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969, as well as the role of the forensic scientist in proving the crime of sexual assault, the mechanisms of proof, the importance of the forensic report to the court. At the end of the event, several comments, suggestions, and questions were made by the participants and answered by the presenters
