On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the Medical Laboratory Science Department, Health Science College held a community activity entitled “We wish you sweetness in life, not in blood… “In World Diabetes Day.
At the beginning of the activity, students addressed performing some diabetic tests and the equivalenting of dietetic sugar. The tests such as random blood sugar test (this measures blood sugar at the time the patients tested), fasting blood sugar test (this measures blood sugar after an overnight fast (not eating) and the Adult Energy Needs and BMI Calculator. This activity aims to promote the importance of taking coordinating and raising awareness of diabetes as a global public health issue and what needs to be done, collectively and individually, for better prevention, diagnosis and management of the condition.
Activity Outcome
1- Clear findings of the result of some diabetic tests and the impact of the results of the tests on the health state.
2- The equivalenting of dietetic sugar with cubic sugar.
3- The management and instructions of the diabetic disease, prevention, risk factors and treatment.

“پرۆژەی کۆمەلایەتی ” رۆژی جیهانی شەکرە
ڕۆژی سێشەممە، ۱۴ی تشرینی دووەمی ۲۰۲۳، بەشی زانستی تاقیگەی پزیشکی، کۆلێژی زانستی تەندروستی چالاکییەکی کۆمەڵایەتی ئەنجامدا بە ناونیشانی “ئێمە هیوای شیرینیتان بۆ دەخوازین لە ژیاندا، نەک لە خوێندا.” لە ڕۆژی جیهانی نەخۆشی شەکرەدا
لە سەرەتای چالاکییەکەدا، خوێندکارەکان چەند تاقیکردنەوەیەکی نەخۆشی شەکرەیان ئەنجامدا و هاوتای شەکری خۆراکیان کرد. تاقیکردنەوەکان وەک تاقیکردنەوەی شەکری خوێنی هەڕەمەکی (ئەمە شەکری خوێن دەپێوێت لەو کاتەی نەخۆشەکە تاقیکردنەوەیان بۆ کردووە)، ئامانجی ئەم چالاکییە برەودانە بە گرنگی هەماهەنگیکردن و بەرزکردنەوەی هۆشیاری دەربارەی نەخۆشی شەکرە وەک کێشەیەکی تەندروستی گشتی جیهانی و ئەوەی پێویستە ئەنجام بدرێت بە کۆمەڵ و تاک بۆ باشتر ڕێگریکردن و دەستنیشانکردن و بەڕێوەبردنی نەخۆشییەکە.
