Perceptions and Problems of English Language: Communication Abilities

Speaking is one of skills that difficult to master by students, especially in Asia. little research has been done to investigate students’ perceptions and challenges in improving speaking ability. This study aimed to identify the difficulties and perceptions that learners encounter it during their communication skill in English language. The results showed and indicated there some difficulties in the communication of the students due to some reasons such as fear of mistake, shyness, anxiety and lack of confidence. This study is beneficial to improve EFL learners to improve their speaking ability. It is important to lecturers identifying their students’ speaking skill as a matter of applying a more effective learning strategy.
