An Analysis of factors Influencing EFL Learners’ Writing Skills

  • Abstract

    It is important to understand that writing is a highly complicated cognitive activity in which the writer must display simultaneous control of several factors. This chance of success for students may be increased by excellent writing skills. Language is not possible without writing. Writing is meant for conveying thoughts, ideas, and facts in easy and lucid language. Students have to learn the art of good writing which is essential in order to excel at both academic and professional levels. Good writing skills are needed for all the students in order to accomplish their educational and employable requirements. The goal of this research paper is to discuss the factors and challenges impacting the writing skills of EFL students. The results showed that factors affecting writing skills, word choices, a weak background in grammar, motivation, coherence, and cohesiveness and digital technologies were the greatest barriers to writing in academic context.
