On Thursday, December 1, 2022, the Department of Health Administration at the College of Administration and Economics arranged a community activity in coordination with Zad Organization on World AIDS Day. The event was dedicated to raising awareness of the pandemic and introducing ways and methods to stop the spread of the Virus in the Kurdistan Region. The broachers, leaflets, information, and posters were shared among students and teaching staff of all departments introducing HIV and AIDS and pandemic protection. The activity was also followed by the workshop presented by Assistant Professor Dr.Nabaz Nawzad, Dean of Administration and Economics College, and Dr. Nabaz Sadrallden Sadeq, Public Health Specialist from Zad Organization. In their workshop, they explained the HIV, AIDS, and CD4 cells, and then elaborated HIV life cycle, symptoms, transmission, medical progress, clinical Progress, and antiretroviral therapy. The presenter also explained the impacts of globalization on the spread of the virus in Kurdistan and the common causes of infection. Different ways of protection were discussed with participants to avoid the possibility of spreading the virus, especially among adults.
