Undergraduate Program of Health Administration

Program Overview  

The field of healthcare administration keeps growing rapidly, and with that growth involves an increase in the demand for qualified candidates. The Department of Health Administration proposes a bachelor’s degree in health administration and trains its students for the demanding and rapidly expanding field of health service management. In addition, health administration program prepares students for entry level administrative positions within health service organizations. Representing the interests of diverse student body, the program gives to students the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies needed for successful career mobility and diversification are committed to providing excellence in education through student focused active learning environment that prepares students for rigors of employment, encourage their professional growth, and inspires a commitment to graduate education and lifelong learning. Finally, this field of study covers a variety of topics including finance, marketing, economics, and information systems. Teaching Methods 

A bachelor in Healthcare Administration provides many opportunities for real-world applied  learning. Through the theoretical study our students gain a comprehensive understanding of the  health care system through coursework that covers quality assessment, strategic planning, and how  ethics and public policies function within the system. They will study current issues and trends in  the health care field, which promotes critical thinking. Also, provides the management and  leadership skills necessary to succeed in this in-demand field. The principles of modern pedagogy  will be used to facilitate and enable learning in the field of health administration. Students become  the centre of education, and teachers will facilitate their learning skills. Principles of competency based education, EduPreneurship, will enhance students’ competency in health administration. 

Also they gain the better experience through practical learning via visiting the health sectors and  training course for one month practically in administration department in hospitals.

Mode of Assessment 

Both summative and formative assessments will assess students’ performance for each module.  Assessment tools could be different, but the final assessment for every module includes but is not  limited to the following criteria:

Learning Goals 

This program aims to: 

Improving the efficiency and quality in the delivery of healthcare services. Keeping up to date with changes in healthcare technology (i.e., software, electronic records  systems, lab reporting, etc.) 

Knowledge about healthcare laws and regulations. 

Keeping and organizing records of the facility’s services. 

Developing employee work schedules. 

Managing the finances of the facility, such as patent fees and billing.

Program Learning Outcome 

Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to: 

Demonstrate knowledge of today’s healthcare system including delivery, financing,  quality, regulatory policies and practices and compliance, organization effectiveness and  clinical and support services.

Demonstrate knowledge of resources, advocacy and cultural competence with individuals,  groups, communities, and populations across the lifespan. 

Appley and evaluate the efficiency of information technology in improving patient care,  patient outcomes and creating a safe patient care environment. 

Analyse the impact of social policy, finance, regulations, and legislation on healthcare for  individuals, groups, communities, and populations across the lifespan, and for the  professional practice of healthcare management, through an ethical- legal framework.
