Biography

Arazoo Rasool Ahmed is a highly motivated and accomplished academician with a passion for teaching and research. She is currently a senior lecturer at the Lebanese French University in Erbil, Iraq, and is pursuing her Ph.D. in English Language and Linguistics at the Universiti Utara Malaysia. Arazoo holds a Master’s degree in Ancient Languages and Cultures (Historical Linguistics) from Tabriz University in Iran and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Ferdosi University of Mashhad in Iran. She has also gained a wealth of experience as a lecturer, teaching a variety of courses including General English, speaking and listening, reading comprehension, translation and linguistic courses, and English to kids and teenagers.

Arazoo has also demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills, having served as the director of health and safety management at the Lebanese French University in 2017 and as the director of Gender Equality at the same institution in 2018.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Arazoo is a skilled communicator with excellent computer skills and strong negotiation abilities. She is proficient in four languages: English, Persian, Kurdish, and Arabic and has successfully taken part in various training programs and workshops, including a six-week Teachers Training Course, an intensive immersion program for immigrants to the US, a conversational English language course, an American Business studies course, and a health and safety management workshop conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Arazoo has published several research papers on topics such as representation of Kurdish women in media, the speech act of advising in Pahlavi with reference to its realization in English, and a comparative study of the function of goddesses in Mesopotamian civilizations. Her research interests are varied, reflecting her broad and diverse academic background.

Overall, Arazoo’s combination of academic credentials, teaching and research experience, and leadership skills make her an excellent candidate for any academic institution looking for a highly motivated and dedicated educator.
