The Department of Architectural Engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Science conducts a training course titled “Introduction to Architectural Drawings Using AutoCAD.” The training will be presented by (Lect. Mohammed Yonis and Asst. Lect. Lina Sami) at 1:00 p.m. in the laboratory (5) of the Lebanese French University, College of Engineering and Computer Science. The training will consist of three sessions per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
AutoCAD and architecture have been closely linked since the first version of the well-known design program was released in 1982. After more than 20 versions, AutoCAD is still the drawing program of choice for architectural plans. This training course provides a basic understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software operation. It is aimed at anyone who wants to learn the basics of AutoCAD 2D and use the program to create 2D drawings for technical, architectural or design purposes. This training course aims to provide learners with the information and skills needed to produce accurate and comprehensive architectural drawings. The course covers the basics of drawing, understanding architectural scale, basic architectural notation, and various architectural drawing formats including sections, floor plans, elevations, and details. Creating and editing architectural drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software will also be a main topic of the training.
