LFU offers a wide range of programs in a variety of fields, collaborating with reputable universities from around the world, particularly, France and the United Kingdom. LFU continuously strives for academic excellence aiming at becoming one of the leading institutions in the Middle East. Thus, the university constantly improves and upgrades its capacity in all areas: teaching methods, staff competence, academic processes, and international collaborations. It operates out of modern educational facilities located on its 50,000 square meters Erbil campus,
100-meter Street, Near Mosul Road, Nasr Roundabout. It is on a single campus which consists of flats – built, modern, fully equipped, and spacious building for administration offices. Now, it witnesses a tremendous construction of a spacious complex of buildings, which hosts academic departments, computer and language laboratories, library and student service facilities.
The university has also a complex on its campus for students’ accommodation. LFU offers undergraduate degrees in Law, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, English Language, French Language, Legal Administration, General Education, Marketing, Diplomacy and International Relations and Sociology, Tourism Management , Hospitality Management , Accounting Information Technology , Computer Networking , Russian language , Kurdish language , Arabic language , Art Education It also offers postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, and Information Technology. LFU is an associate member of the Association of Arab Universities Union (AAU).
