On October 6, 2024, the Department of Law at the College of Law and International Relations held a workshop titled “Civil Responsibility in Hanging Election Posters,” presented by Assist. Lecturer Ari Latif and Assist. Lecturer Tahsin Zahir. The workshop addressed the types of damages that could give rise to civil liability.
A key point of discussion was that individuals who suffer damages from election posters or any campaign activities have the right to seek compensation. The participants also examined whether the commission’s guidelines effectively mitigate direct and indirect harm to citizens.
Finally, the conversation included an exploration of how advocacy can be conducted within the framework of public customs.
