On Sunday 3 April 2022 the tourism Administration Department invited Tony Shaba a graduate student from our Lebanese French University who works at Divan hotel in Erbil now.
Tony straight after his graduation year 2020-2021 managed to work at Rotana hotel however after one year he applied for work at Divan hotel in Erbil, now he works as an officer in the reservation department
Tony, is a very bright and committed person who studied for 4 years at our university and shared his experiences from both hotels with our year 3 and year 4 students.
Much good advice from Toney has been pointed out and our students were very happy with Tony’s shared information
The outcome of the Seminar
Tony recommended the following essential points:
1- In order to strengthen your CV students, need to practice as volunteers at the hotel for a certain period of time
2- At the workplace, being committed, polite, and attentive is considered a key to receiving a place at the workforce in the hospitality industry
3- Understanding the guest’s needs and meeting their expectations is seen as a ground for improving the hospitality and hotel’s reputation
