“International Childhood Cancer Day” A Hopeful Event at Lebanese French University

On February 16, 2025, a meaningful event was held to commemorate International Childhood Cancer Day, organized in collaboration between Lebanese French University, Kurdistan Save the Children Organization, Hawler Medical University (Pharmacy Department), and Nanakali Hospital for Blood Diseases and Cancer. Event was Supervised and Organized by Assistant Lecturer (Muzhda Haydar Saber) from the Medical Laboratory Department at the college of Health Sciences, the event aimed to raise awareness and bring joy to children affected by cancer.

The event featured a variety of impactful activities:

1. Art Exhibition by Children Battling Cancer
   1. A special exhibition showcased artwork created by young cancer patients, students, and volunteers.
   1. The displayed pieces were available for sale, with proceeds going toward supporting affected children and their families.
   1. This initiative not only raised funds but also highlighted the resilience and creativity of these young artists, providing them with a platform to express themselves and contribute to their community.
2. Fundraising through Food and Sweets Sale
   1. A food and sweets sale, organized by students and volunteers, further contributed to fundraising efforts for childhood cancer awareness and support programs.
3. Distribution of Cancer Awareness Brochures
   1. Informational brochures were distributed to attendees, covering key aspects of childhood cancer, including early warning signs, symptoms, and the importance of early detection.
   1. These materials aimed to educate parents, caregivers, and the broader community, promoting early intervention and support for affected children.

ڕۆژی جیهانی شێرپەنجەی منداڵان

لە 16 ی شوباتی 2025، ريورەسمەکی گرنگ بۆ یادکردنەوەی ڕۆژی جیهانی شێرپەنجەی منداڵان بەڕێوەچوو، کە بە هاوکاری نێوان زانکۆی لوبنانی فەڕەنسی، ڕێکخراوی منداڵ پارێزی کوردستان، زانکۆی پزیشکی هەولێر (بەشی دەرمانسازی) و نەخۆشخانەی نانەکەلی بۆ نەخۆشییەکانی خوێن و شێرپەنجە رێکخرا. چالاکییەکە لەلایەن مامۆستای یاریدەدەری (مژدە حەیدەر سابر) لە بەشی شیکاری تاقیگەی پزیشکیەکان سەرپەرشتی کرا و رێکخرا و ئامانج لە چالاکییەکە بەرزکردنەوەی هۆشیاری و دڵخۆشی منداڵانی تووشبوو بە شێرپەنجە بوو.
