On Thursday, May, 2nd 2024, College of Education and Languages, the Department of General Education held a national workshop entitled “Interwoven Literature and Art”. The workshop was dedicated to literature, art and its impact on society. Because literature has a direct impact on the human soul. At the beginning of the workshop, Asst. Lect. Rozhvin Adnan, a lecturer at the Lebanese French University, welcomed the guests and spoke about the role of literature. Then Asst. Lect. Mohammed Omar emphasized the necessity of literature for human beings, also pointed out that Kurdish literature is very rich , especially old literature more specifically, poetry. Finally, a significant number of teachers and students were present and enriched the discussion with their comments and suggestions.
Workshop Outcomes:
1. Literature is important for mankind because it is directly related to the human soul.
2. Classical literature has a spiritual content and encourages people to do good deeds.
3. Life is complicated and full of noise, so literature puts an end to that noise.
