Department of Law held a national workshop  College of Law and International Relations discussed the issue of drug dangers.

On Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in the presence of the Presidency of French Lebanese University, professors and the academic staff of the university, the Department of Law conducted a natioanl workshop entitled (Awareness on Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) for (Mohammed Hamid Abbas) Representative of Public Security in the High Committee of the Council of Ministers for Drug Prevention. And Mr. Shwan Dilawar, Head of the Law Department in Lebanese French Univeristy.

In the first part of the event, Mr. Schwan discussed the importance of drugs and psychotropic substances and emphasized the need for coordination between academic centres, governmental and security institutions in order to raise awareness among individuals in society. In the second part of the workshop, Mr. (Mohammed Hamid Abbas) discussed the reasons for the emergence of drugs in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the risk of increasing the rate of committing this crime, and also discussed the legal procedures According to the geography of the areas of use, trade and transit and how to deal with all cases of this crime.
