National Workshop (Bridging the Gap Between Cloud and Edge with Fog Computing)

The faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology organized a national workshop entitled “Bridging the Gap Between Cloud and Edge with Fog Computing” for faculty members on 30 Nov., 2023. The session lasted from 1 to 3 pm. The session was presented by: (Asst. Lect. Halmat Ayub ) from Lebanese French University, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Fog-Cloud Computing represents a pivotal shift in the way we approach data processing and analysis.
  • Fog networking is an innovative approach to data processing and storage that bridges the gap between cloud and edge computing.
  • By leveraging the strengths of both models, fog networking offers a more efficient, scalable, and secure solution for organizations dealing with large volumes of data and the need for real-time processing and analysis.
  • As the demand for real-time data processing continues to grow, fog networking is poised to become an increasingly important component of the modern IT infrastructure.
