On November 14, 2023, the Department of Health Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, Lebanese French University, organized a community activity focused on promoting environmental sustainability in the Kurdistan region, Erbil. This significant event was executed in collaboration with the Directorate of Gardens and Parks Engineering of Erbil Tourism Municipality.
A total of 150 trees successfully underwent the process of establishing new roots, so serving as a powerful representation of the collaborative endeavor aimed at improving the ecological scenery. The demonstration of a collective dedication to sustainable practices was evident through the active participation of both students and faculty members affiliated with the College of Administration and Economics. The promotion of community engagement cultivated a feeling of happiness and fulfillment, acknowledging the significant influence that tree planting has on climatic conditions and the visual attractiveness of the area.
The Department of Health Administration has initiated a successful initiative, signifying the commencement of a long-term dedication to participate in forthcoming community events. The Lebanese French University is committed to promoting a more sustainable and thriving community, recognizing that such endeavors not only contribute to ecological welfare but also enhance our collective environments.
Our recommendations to the community environmental sustainability are:
1. Community Involvement: Get the locals involved in environmental initiatives.
2. Involvement in Off-Campus Learning: Bring Attention to Local Schools.
3. Work together with businesses: Form partnerships to make a bigger difference for the environment.
4. A place for public green spaces: make recreational areas that everyone may enjoy.
5. Open and Honest Communication: Maintain community engagement and tell them of developments.
