National Workshop (EEG Signal Classification)

The faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology organized a national workshop entitled: ‘EEG Signal Classification’ for faculty members on 5 Nov., 2023. The session lasted from 1 to 3 pm. The session was presented by: (Asst. Prof. Ashish Sharma) from Lebanese French University, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Information Technology.

The results of the “EEG signal classification” workshop can be listed with the following points:

  1. EEG signal classification stands at the intersection of neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and machine learning, offering a powerful tool for understanding the complexities of brain function and its practical applications.
  2. It profoundly impacts medical diagnoses, treatment strategies, and the development of assistive technologies.
  3. It facilitates differentiating various brain states, disorders, and cognitive activities and opens doors to improved healthcare, personalized interventions, and innovative advancements, such as brain-computer interfaces.

As technology continues to evolve and our understanding of EEG signals deepens, EEG signal classification’s potential to enhance clinical and scientific endeavours remains promising and boundless.
