The Department Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science in Lebanese French University organized a culture activity on November 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. . The Information Technology Department carried out a visit to the public Zaytoun Library in Erbil.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the available books and scientific resources in the library and donate some of scientific resource . The delegation from the Information Technology Department was warmly received by Mrs. Naz Falak Al-Din, the Library Director, as well as the Assistant Director and several dedicated library staff members.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in several productive endeavors, including delivering a lecture that highlighted the vital role libraries play in advancing society across various scientific, cultural, and humanitarian domains. Then the delegation donated books to enrich the library’s collection. In addition, a dedicated shelf was established permanently for the unversity within the library to house the books donated by Lebanese French University .
Underlining the strong commitment towards collaboration and knowledge dissemination, both the university and the library reached an agreement to organize future scientific and cultural seminars. These collaborative events will serve as a platform for mutual cooperation and exchange of ideas, fostering intellectual growth within the community.
