Department of General Education Held a Training Course Entitled: Developing Teachers’ Skills and Abilities

Department of General Education in College of Education and Languages organized a training course under the title “Developing Teachers’ Skills and Abilities”. The training course lasted for three weeks, three days a week, and four hours each session. The first session of the first week of the training started on 13/09/2023.  The trainers were:

1. Mr. Akam Omer an Executive Development Advisor

In this session the presenter focused on discussing  “The Art of Delivery” which is a method that concentrates on delivering lessons to the students effectively and efficiently.

2. Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani Lecturer at Lebanese French University

In this session the presenter discussed a number of innovative ways that teachers can follow in order to have a successful career.

3. Asst. Prof .Dr. Nabaz Nawzad Dean of the College of Administration an Economics at  Lebanese French University

In this session the presenter discussed innovative teachings based on the skills of the 21st century, highlighting a number of important activities that the teacher can do. As well as trying to make students center of the class  in order to make a positive impact on the students and their surroundings.

4. Prof. Dr. Jawad Asaad Lecturer at Lebanese French University

In this session the presenter highlighted  a number of etiquette rules that every university lecturer should know. He also mentioned that every university should have a number of requirements and standards for the teachers to follow. 

5. Dr. Abdelrahman Jalal Dean of College of Education and Languages at Lebanese French University

In this session the presenter focused on how teachers can satisfy students while maintaining a high quality standard of teaching. He also mentioned how teachers can satisfy their employers, their co-workers, and the Ministry of Higher Education.

6. Mr. AbdulSalam Medeni Chief Executive Director of Rwanga Foundation

In this session entitled “Learning at University in the 21st Century” the presenter mentioned how university lecturers should teach Gen Z. He noted that the new generation is completely different from the previous generations and teachers should adapt to modern ways in order to have a more efficient result.
