On Monday, April 17, 2023, the French Language department in the College of Education and Languages organized a community activity called “Campus France” for fourth-year students. Mr. Rekar Al-Hawezi, the representative of “Campus France” at the French Institute, conducted the activity and gave a presentation to provide students with an opportunity to study in France. Then, the lecturer Sarah Kayfi has talked to the students about her path as a master’s student in France, as well her experience with “Campus France” institution and the procedures of her being admitted to the university. The presentation offered valuable information about French universities and how to gain access to them.
Activity Outcomes
The following was the outcome for the participants:
- The students became more motivated to pass the international French language exams of DELF.
- The opportunities of study in France.
- They gained valuable information about French universities and the access to them.
Presenter’s Information
1- Mr. Rekar Al-Hawezi, holds a master in Didactics of languages, subspecialty : engineer of training, multilingualism and cross-cultural, at Jean Monnet university, Saint-Etienne (France). Currently, he is representative of “Campus France” at the French Institute- Erbil.
2- Ms. Sarah Kayfi Akram, holds a master in Didactics of French as a Foreign / Second language and Languages of the World, subspecialty : ICT in Education, at La Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 University. Currently, she is Assistant Lecturer and HOD, in the French Language Department, College of Education and Languages at Lebanese French University, Erbil, Iraq.
