On 03/05/2023, the Law Department at the College of Law and International Relations organized a workshop in the seminar hall. The Dean of the college and heads of departments attended the workshop, which was presented by Dr. Rebin Samad and Asst. Lect. Dara Majeed. The workshop was titled “The Environmental Security of Kurdistan: Between International Struggle and the Political, Economic, and Social Impact on Kurdistan’s Residents – Reasons and Solutions.” The topic was considered important and necessary to analyze carefully in order to identify the reasons and problems associated with it and to ensure that decision-making in Kurdistan considers all aspects of the problem. The following were identified as results of the workshop:
- Kurdistan Region must prioritize the protection of its land above all else in order to save it.
- Controlling nations without independent countries has become a critical issue, and new alliances are seeking different ways to address this. For example, Russia is pursuing a political and military approach, while China is focusing on the economic aspect.
- To ensure the safety of Kurdistan, it is better to arrange and reconsider its benefits as a strong alliance of Iraq.
- Creating a strong economy in all aspects is crucial.

- Asst. Lect. Dara Majeed, instructor at the Law Department of the College of Law and International Relations at the Lebanese French University.

دەرەنجام
• هەرێمی کوردستان پێویستە لەگەڵ خاک ئاشت ببێتەوە بۆ پاراستنی لە زیانە سروشتیەکان
• یەکێک لە تایبەتمەندیەکانی ئەم قۆناغە بریتیە لە دووبارە ژێردەستەیکردنەوەی نەتەوە بە دەوڵەتەکان، بەهۆی دروستبوونی بەرژەوەندی و هاتنی هاوپەیمانی نوێ وەک (رووسیا و چین) لە رووی سەربازی و ئابووریەوە.
• لە پێناو پاراستنی پێویستە هەرێمی کوردستان سیاسەتی خۆی هاوتەریب بکات لە چوارچێوەی بەرژەوەندی هاوبەش بە سیادەی عێراق.
• بنیاتنانەوەی ژێرخانی ئابووری بەهێز لە رێگای دووبارە بەکارخستنەوەی کەرتی گشتی
