On Thursday 24/11/2022, Department of English language held a national workshop under the title “Peaceful Coexistence in Kirkuk” In the first session, assistant lecturer Mariwan Hwayyiz shed light on the role of Coexistence on life among kirkuk society in the last decade and its effect on all around Iraq and Kurdistan. He then gave some examples of kirkuk city as a symbol of brotherhood. In the second part Mr.Rebwar Talabani talked about literature and Coexistence and what was its effect among people who live in kirkuk, aims to spread peaceful coexistence between the local communities.
The following recommendation was given to:
– Communities should respect their nature in the way of coexistence.
– Kirkuk is the city of coexistence for all communities regardless to their political backrounds
