On November, 1st, 2020 College of Engineering and Computer Science conducted a workshop under the title of “Overview of Fog Computing” Coordinated by (Asst. Lect. Zainab Huseen) in Lab (3) at 1:30 pm. She explained what is Fog computing which is a term created by Cisco that refers to extending cloud computing to the edge of an enterprise network. It is also known as Edge Computing or fogging. Fog computing facilitates the operation of computing, storage, and networking services between end devices and cloud computing data centers.17 participants from the College of ECS attended the Workshop.
