The Accounting and Finance Department organized a vibrant cultural event celebrating the richness of Kurdish heritage.

On April 24, 2025, under the guidance of Assistant Lecturer Ronyaz Hayyas Mahmood, the Accounting and Finance Department organized a vibrant cultural event celebrating the richness of Kurdish heritage. Centered around two key elements—traditional Kurdish cuisine and traditional clothing—the event offered participants a meaningful opportunity to engage with and honor the enduring spirit of Kurdish culture.

The atmosphere was filled with the spirit of Kurdish heritage, echoing the beauty of a culture “where tradition meets resilience” and “a heritage woven with music, poetry, and pride.” Students and professors together showcased the essence of Kurdistan, where “Kurdistan’s spirit lives in its timeless traditions” and “from mountains to music, Kurdish culture thrives.”

Dressed in colorful traditional outfits, students prepared and sold a variety of Kurdish foods to students across the Lebanese French University campus. The event not only displayed “proud roots and vibrant identity” but also demonstrated a strong sense of community and compassion.

All proceeds collected from the food sales were dedicated to supporting children suffering from cancer. The Accounting and Finance Department’s initiative beautifully reflected how “Kurdish traditions—an eternal flame of identity” continue to inspire acts of kindness and unity.
