On 13.3.2025 Thursday , College of Engineering and Computer Science held a national workshop entitled as Evolution of Mechanical and Electronical Computer presented by Mr. Ahmed Salahuddin. An electrical device uses the energy of electricity to do work . A mechanical device uses mechanical energy in the form of gears , levers, cams, and other components to do work .
Example includes an electric clock and mechanical clock . An electric clock uses quarts to vibrate at a frequency and electrical pulses to create movement that is governed to electrical motors connected to hands . Those hands ( or wands ) rotate around a face with designated markers to tell time accurately . A mechanical clock uses gears , cams , springs to provide stored energy , and levers to move in sync . This movement is attached to two axels with hands ( or wands) . Those hands rotate around a marked face to tell you the time . Both devices are different as one uses electricity and one uses mechanical energy but both do the same job .
