On Thursday February 22, 2024 College of Education and Languages, Department of English Language organized a national workshop entitled “Strategies and Consideration in Data Collection for Qualitative Research” . The session was presented by Dr. Nahlah N. Khorsheed and Asst. Lect. Sarah Kaifi Akram. The session started with the introduction of the topic by Asst. Lect. Sarah, then it was elaborated by Dr. Nahah. The workshop aimed to offer insight into what to consider when conducting qualitative research it was designated especially for those staff and administrative members who are currently students in higher education. At the end of the session the participants obtained the following outcomes:
- What determines the selection of research paradigm; quantitative, qualitative, or mixed method.
- What philosophical ideas are associated with qualitative research.
- The instruments used for data collection in qualitative research.
- The procedures used to establish validity in qualitative research.
