The Methodology of Information and Communication Technologies in Education (TICE)

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, the Department of French language held the national workshop entitled ” The methodology of Information and Communication Technologies in Education (T.I.C.E).” The workshop’s first session was presented by assistant lecturer Sarah Kayfi Akram, Head of French Language Department at Lebanese French University.
Assistant teacher Sarah Kayfi Akram , at the beginning of the workshop, explained the main topic which is Information and Communication Technologies in Education and the meaning of the abbreviation word “T.I.C.E.” in French Language. In the second part, Assistant teacher Ahmed Ibrahim Razoqi displayed ICT tools : websites, applications for Education ends. At the end, they stressed that the teachers have to know the methodology of using and integrating ICT in Education, particularly in foreign languages teaching and learning. As a practical part, the staff teachers answered a quiz about some terminologies in ICT in Education, on (Kahoot) which is a game-based learning platform.

Workshop Outcome
1-    Knowing the terminology of ICT in Education, as a mode of education to teach and learn.
2-    Empowering academic staff to apply ICT tools in teaching.

3-    The importance of adopting a methodology through using ICTE in class.

1-    Ms. Sarah Kayfi Akram, holds a master in Didactics of French as a Foreign / Second language and Languages of the World, at La Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 University. Currently, she is Assistant Lecturer and HOD, in French Language Department, College of Education and Languages at Lebanese French University, Erbil, Iraq.
2-    Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Razoqi, holds a master in Didactics : Teaching Foreign Languages.  Currently, he is Assistant Lecturer, in French Language Department, College of Education and Languages at Lebanese French University, Erbil, Iraq.
