The Law Department at the Lebanese French University organized a training course entitled (Basic Rules of Inheritance Division in Legal and Religious Sectors)

At Lebanese French University, the department of law initiated a training course on Tuesday 26th of April 2022. The course title was (Basic Rules of Inheritance Division in Legal and Religious Sectors). The objective of the course was to train the academic staff of the college of Law and International Relations. The trainer who was Lecturer (Hawre Omar Awla), an academic member of Lebanese French University with a master’s degree in Theology and specializing in Principles of Religious Jurisprudence, trained the academic staff for seven days and finished the course on the 26th of May 2022. As long as the science of inheritance is the most significant scientific branch in the Islamic economic system, the trainer’s focus was mainly on the science of inheritance. The idea is that the deceased person’s remaining properties can be an impulse for building strong social ties. At length, the trainer distinguished the divisions between religious and legal sectors and clarified the most crucial foundations and rules that must be enforced. At the end of the course, thanks and appreciation of the trainer were conferred to the audience.

course outcome:

1/ Familiarity with scientific approaches, jurisprudence sayings and legal topics which serve inheritance division as a scientific field.

2/ Training the participants to acquire the knowledge of how properties are transited from inheritors to the heirs based on conditions specified by religion and law.

3/ Learning about inheritance division as science and skill.
